Charles Albert Taylor “Papa” “Son” “Buckshot”, 93, much loved husband, father, grand and great grandfather, uncle and friend passed away January 12, 2018.

He was born Oct 7, 1924, in Palmetto, Fl. He graduated from Palmetto High School in 1943, graduated from Florida State and proudly served in and retired from the US Military 1943-1972. He served in the US Navy during WWII and finished his career as a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force. He served all over the world, but loved living in Palmetto.

He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Alice Taylor, his sisters Nell Ruth, Elizabeth, Mary Jo, Alice, Jama Lafaye, his beloved wife Connie, sons Mike and Charlie and his best dog friend Duffy.

He is survived by sons Robert “Bob” Taylor (Sheila), Everette “Brett” Taylor (Brenda), daughters Mary “Pris” Hall (Mike), Connie Valenti and daughter in law Kathy Taylor. Grandkids: Rick Uptegraff (Charlotte), Geoff Taylor (Darcy), Sarah Lerner (Jonathan), Emily Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Jace Taylor, Jessica Thrift (Ryan), Jennifer Pollack (Andrew), Monica Taylor (Lynn), Aaron Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Allison Valenti, Connor Valenti. Great grandchildren: Kyle, LeAnne, Cody, Jacob, Aiden, Jaycob, Josh, Katie Jo, Hunter, Emilia, Abby, nephews Herbert Long and Earl Mason and many more nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Palmetto First Baptist building fund or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
