Douglas G. Myers

Douglas G. Myers, 52, of Bradenton, passed away on December 19, 2014.

Douglas was born on January 28, 1962 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Herbert Max and Shirley (Smeltzer) Myers. He has been a resident of Manatee county since 1980 coming from Goshen, Indiana.

He was the owner for over 25 years of Doug Myers Construction. He also served as a coach and on the Board for the Manatee East Little League which is now known as Lakewood Ranch Little League. And assisted in the construction of the concession stand at the Lakewood Ranch Little League Park.

Was predeceased by his brother, Terry, and is survived by his two children, a daughter, Taylor and son Trevor both of Bradenton, two brothers, Paul and his wife Betty Myers of Sarasota, Roger Myers of Indiana, step-mother, Sharon Myers of Goshen, Indiana and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Douglas’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Lakewood Ranch Little League Field, 5350 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Lakewood Ranch, Fl.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Manatee Glens, 2020 26th Avenue East, Bradenton, Fl. 34208 in his memory.
