James A Compton

James A. Compton, 66 of Palmetto, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at the TideWell Hospice House in Bradenton.

James was born March 22, 1949 in Melbourne, Florida to the late Kenneth James and Aila Elisabeth (Sommerschield) Compton. James moved to the Manatee County area in 2005. He worked as a salesman for Florida Cooling Supply in Sarasota. He was also an avid golfer playing at the Terra Ceia Golf Course where he once scored a hole in one.

Survived by his wife, Dreamy Walker Compton of Palmetto, son; Aaron James Compton of Ft. Myers, FL, Carol Ann Compton of Panama City, FL, sister; Carla Sue Day of Phoenix, AZ, two grandsons; Gregory and Matthew Compton and one great-grandchild.

Private family services will be held at a later date and time.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to TideWell Hospice in his memory.
