Thomas Eugene Muscatell, 86, passed away on the evening of April 28, 2016. He is now reunited with his beloved son, Kimmy Tom.
He was born on July 18, 1929 in Wilton, ND. He was a successful businessman, owning multiple automobile dealerships, including Muscatell Chevrolet in Fargo, ND. He taught quality salesmanship classes at Wayne State University in Michigan and was a two-term member of General Motors President’s Council.
Tom proudly served in both the US Army and Navy.
He met his true love and best friend, Kathleen “Butchie” Barthel, in 1940 and they married on June 13, 1953. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children Brett (Nancy), Kathy (Vann Snapp), Ward (Debra) and Marc, as well as ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Tom was an avid football fan favoring the Minnesota Vikings and the NDSU Bison; he played football in high school, college and during his Army service. Tom was strong, determined and an amazing mentor, a warm and humble man who looked for the best in everyone. Tom touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 2:00pm at Palma Sola Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, FL.
A Memorial open house will be held in Minnesota on July 17. He will be interred in Mandan, ND, next to his eldest son, Kimmy Tom.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thomas's name may be made to the Veterans Charity of your choice or Palma Sola Presbyterian Church.
