Arlis Albritton, 77, of Bradenton, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, faith, and cherished memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born on April 17, 1949, at the old Bradenton Hospital, Arlis was a lifelong resident of Bradenton, Florida. The son of Willie Albritton Sr. and Alma (Driggers) Albritton, Arlis spent his entire life in the community he called home, building lasting friendships and touching countless lives along the way.

On April 21, 1967, he married the love of his life, Connie (Yeomans) Albritton, beginning a beautiful journey of more than 59 years together, filled with love, devotion, and a lifetime of memories.

Arlis was a man with a heart bigger than words could ever describe. He was never one to ask for help himself, yet he was always among the first to offer it to someone else. Whether someone needed a helping hand, a little guidance, or simply someone to listen, Arlis was someone they could always count on. Even when he could no longer physically do something, he would gladly share every bit of knowledge he had to help someone find their way.

He had an incredible sense of humor and could find a reason to laugh or make a joke out of just about anything. He loved sharing stories, striking up conversations, and making those around him smile. Arlis never needed a special occasion to enjoy someone's company. A simple conversation was often enough to make his day, and he had a wonderful way of making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

Above all else, Arlis treasured his family. His wife, daughter, and grandchildren were the center of his world. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather whose grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy. His love for his family was unwavering, and he showed it through his actions, his wisdom, his laughter, and his constant willingness to be there whenever he was needed.

Arlis was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church in Bradenton, where he cherished his church family and found great joy in helping wherever he could. His faith in Jesus Christ was an important part of his life, and he openly shared his beliefs and his love for the Lord. He believed in serving others, not for recognition or praise, but simply because it was the right thing to do.

Throughout his life, Arlis enjoyed trains, history, gardening, drawing and spending time with the people he loved. He had a natural curiosity about the world and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. He retired from the Manatee County School Board, where he worked in maintenance, following years of hard work and dedication.

Arlis is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Connie (Yeomans) Albritton; his daughter, Kala (Albritton) Burdo, and her husband, Adam; his two cherished grandchildren, Lenakay (Mitchell) Dunbar of Pensacola, Florida, and Xavier Mitchell of Bradenton, Florida; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Albritton Sr. and Alma (Driggers) Albritton; his three brothers, Lloyd Albritton, Clark Albritton, and Willie Albritton Jr.; and his sister, Jeanette Pierce.

Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him, his family finds comfort in their faith and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Arlis leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves a legacy of kindness, generosity, unwavering faith, laughter, and unconditional love. He was a man who gave freely of himself, expected little in return, and found his greatest happiness in the people around him.

He spent his life showing up for others, sharing whatever he had to give, and loving people with his whole heart. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave will continue to live on through every life he touched.
