Brett W. Melvin of Palmetto Florida, passed away on April 8, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on January 23, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Brett lived a life defined by his big heart and unwavering willingness to help others. Brett's hobbies included gardening, cooking and decorating. He was a big collector of roosters and western decor.

Brett is survived by his beloved siblings: Vicki (Carl) Snyder of Parrish, Fl, John (Tia) Melvin Jr. of Guyton, GA, Paula (Troy) Alderman of Palmetto, Fl, Scott (Jodi) Melvin of Stoney Point, NC, and Lisa (Bobby) Conwell of Bradenton, Fl. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including 18 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great-great nieces and nephews. Each held a special place in Brett’s heart.

Brett W. Melvin’s life was marked not only by his big heart for others but by the profound joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. His presence will be deeply missed, yet the kindness he shared and the memories he created will continue to inspire all who knew him.
