Gene Horstman

Gene Horstman (70) of Parrish, Fl passed away August 11, 2017 at Complex Care Hospital.

Born in Cannonsburg, PA to Ida Mae and George Howard Horstman. He was a longtime resident of Florida.

He was a union journeyman electrician and a postal carrier and clerk. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.

Gene is survived by Janet his loving wife of 44 years. He is also survived by sons; Albert John (Lisa) Matz, Bradley Gene (Stacey) Horstman and Jeffrey Ryan (Tiffany) Horstman , grandchildren: Ava, Finley and Caleb Horstman, brother: George Howard (Kim) Horstman, special friends Adam and Kristy Heitl and his four legged best friend Rusty.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:30 am at Sarasota National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, in his name.
