James R. Gilhooly

James R. Gilhooly passed away peacefully in hospice care on August 12, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida. He was born on January 14, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois.

James will be remembered with love by those who knew him. He is survived by his sister, Barbara, and by his niece, Tara. Their memory of him will remain a lasting part of their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Therese Gilhooly.

A Graveside Service will be held on September 10, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 Florida 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241. Military honors will be rendered at the service.
