James Jay Waalkes of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Bradenton, Florida, born April 27,1946 died October 31,2023.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Jay and Helen (Buczek) Waalkes.
He is survived by his sister Jane (Ernie) Sandona and his nieces, Emily (Chad) Mann and Elizabeth Sandona. Jim was especially fond of his great nephew, Evan Mann, with whom he shared a love of fishing. He is also survived by friend, Rebecca Beerthuis, and family.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held in 2024.
