Jamy Savitsky, 56, of Riverview, Florida, passed away on March 22, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Jamy was born on May 28, 1969, in Groton, Connecticut. He attended Ledyard High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy. He later built a career in the repossession industry, a field he genuinely enjoyed and took pride in.

Jamy was known for his selflessness and generosity. He would give the shirt off his back to help a friend or family member. At his core, Jamy was a protector. He fiercely looked after the people he loved and was someone you could rely on without hesitation. His kindness and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jamy endured many challenges throughout his life, yet he continued to push forward with resilience and perseverance. His journey was not always easy, but those who knew him best saw his effort, and his love for his family through it all.

Jamy shared over 30 years of marriage with his wife, Susannah Savitsky, and continued to be her partner in life for many years. Together, they had two children who were the center of Jamy’s world. Above all else, Jamy was a devoted father. He never missed an opportunity to show up for his kids, whether it was working on cars with his son or taking his daughter to horse shows. Being a dad was his greatest joy and proudest role.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Susannah Savitsky; his loving children, Logan Savitsky and Serena Savitsky; his parents, Gail Coleman and James Coleman; his future son-in-law Ryan Andress; his siblings Craig Coleman, Sheila Coleman, Rebekah Dugan, Stanley “Joe” Savitsky III, Philip Savitsky, and Jenna Petersen; many dear nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Brody.

He gave his whole heart to the people he cared about and never hesitated to put them before himself. To be loved by Jamy meant knowing you had someone who would never give up on you, no matter what. He will be remembered for his unconditional love. His presence will be deeply missed and forever carried by those who knew and loved him.
