Jeffrey Grant Livermore, 76, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Born on April 28, 1948, in Waterbury, CT, Jeff was the son of the late Bessie and Cyril Livermore. He graduated from Branford High School in 1966 and was drafted into the U.S. Army the following year. He served honorably as a radio operator with the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam until his discharge in 1969.
Following his military service, Jeff began a long and dedicated career with Connecticut Light & Power (now Eversource), where he worked for 36 years until his retirement. In 2005, he relocated to Cape Coral, FL, to enjoy his retirement in warmer surroundings.
Jeff was a licensed private pilot, a passion he pursued beginning at Meriden-Markham Airport in Meriden, CT and later at Robertson Airport in Plainville, CT. He found great joy in flying and was proud of his time in the air. A car enthusiast throughout his life, Jeff was well known for owning and tinkering with a rotating collection of vehicles.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Adams of Southington, CT; his brother, Norman Livermore of Fort Myers, FL; and his sister, Betsy Jacquelyn Vallancourt of Apopka, FL.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Sara Spencer of Fredericksburg, VA; his sister, Sharon Catlin of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and many dear friends at Westminster Manor in Bradenton, FL where had resided since 2022.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
