John "Nick" Nicholas Thurman

John Nicholas Thurman (Nick) was born October 05, 1968, in Oak Park Illinois to Johnnie and Betty Thurman. 

The family moved to Bradenton in the summer of 1970. Nick attended public school and graduated from Manatee HS in 1986. After graduation he went to work at Tropicana and after a few years decided to take leave and joined the Navy where he learned his welding and metal fabrication skills as a Hull Technician and High-Pressure Pipe Welder. After his four years were up, he returned home where he continued to work at Tropicana and started a family. 

He will always be remembered as a witty, fun-loving guy who loved his family, especially his daughters. A great father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed by many. 

He is survived by his daughters Cheyenne Thurman (Sebastian Johnson) & Samantha Thurman, grandsons Dean and Jett Johnson, Brother Butch Thurman (Jackie), nephew Matt Sexton (Jessie), nieces Jordan Thurman and Farrah Mena (Carlos). 

Services will be held on October 18, 2025 @ 10:00am, Forward Community Church 209 7 Street W. Palmetto Florida 34221
