Linda Cramer

Linda Lou (Blau) Cramer, age 64, passed away on January 22, 2026 in Bradenton, FL.

A beloved mother, grandmother, community member and friend, Linda was born in Portage, WI to Leo Blau and Charlotte (Smith) Blau on February 17, 1961. After graduating Portage High School in 1979 she moved to Florida where she lived out her days with the love of the ocean and people and her gift of restoration. She was an active City Commissioner for Anna Maria Island for about 6 years and owned and operated a successful and well respected home renovation and painting business for almost two decades. One of her most memorable restorations was the Belle Haven Cottage on Anna Maria Island at it’s current location in Anna Maria City where it can still be toured as a part of the The Island’s National Historical Society, located on Pine Avenue where she single handedly orchestrated it’s move that quickly became a part of the island’s history and long told stories. The cottage was originally an old fishing ice house apart of the city pier that served the island, after hurricane damage left it in disarray the original owners moved it to Palmetto Avenue and in the late 80’s she moved there and rented the dwelling for her and her family. Linda’s love brought it back to life and has survived many recent hurricanes to date.

Linda was a devoted friend, active grandparent and adored mother. She is survived by her daughter Jessi Cramer of Sarasota, FL, son Michael Cramer of Bradenton, FL and her grandchildren Terry Rue Louis (Jessi) and Harper Noelle Cramer (Michael), brothers Robert Blau (Cindy) of Portage, WI, Thomas Blau of Edgerton, sisters Catherine (Randy) Balliet of Appleton, Janet (John) DiGuiseppi of Rockford, and Connie Lamprech of Janesville, sister in law Patti Cramer (Doug Finger) of Sun Prairie as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo Blau and Charlotte (Smith) Blau, sister Susan (Blau) Krejchik, brother in law Steven Krejchik, ex-husband Thomas Cramer, many aunts and uncles and extended family Helen Lillich and John and Esther Staudenmayer.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her daughter Jessi for taking care of her with love and dignity in her final days and to the team at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, FL for a well deserved and highly respected transition process.

A private family internment will take place this coming spring at Shanks Cemetery in Wisconsin as well as a celebration of life that will take place on Bean Pointe on Anna Maria Island.
