With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Margaret Henry, who departed this world on May 14, 2025 at the age of 80. A devoted servant of God, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Margaret was a beacon of grace, compassion, and unwavering faith.
From an early age, Margaret dedicated her life to the Lord, drawing strength, wisdom, and peace from her deep spiritual foundation. Her faith was not only a source of personal strength but also a guiding light for others. Whether through prayer, scripture, or acts of kindness, she inspired all who knew her to walk in love and truth.
Children also held a special place in Margaret’s heart. She nurtured, mentored, and uplifted countless young lives, whether they were family members, neighbors, or children at her church. Her laughter, stories, and gentle wisdom made her a trusted presence and a safe haven for the young and the young at heart.
Above all, Margaret loved her family fiercely. She was the heart of every gathering, the voice of encouragement in every trial, and the arms that welcomed everyone home. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, through every kind word, and every prayer whispered in love.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joe Henry Sr.; children - Joe Henry Jr. (Barbi), Carol Henry, and Michael Henry (Wendy); grandchildren - Michael, Mikey, Jalayna, Marcus, AJ, Danny, Keirstan, and Wyatt; great-grandchildren - Daisy and Scarlett; sisters - Pamela (Eric) French, Emily (Denny) Shepherd, Patricia (Mike) Armstrong, and Donna Rhodes and many nieces and nephews. who will carry her memory forward with honor and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Owen Sr. and Claire Rhodes, sisters - Joan and Molly K., brother - Owen Jr., and nephew - Brett Motlow.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Samoset First Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am and services to follow beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and loved ones are invited to join in remembering a remarkable woman whose life was a testimony of faith, love, and service.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, hearing the words she so longed to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
