Namon Morish

Namon Morish, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Sarasota, Florida, at the age of 58. Born on November 10, 1966, in Evanston, Illinois, Namon was a dedicated and hardworking man, known for his lifelong career in construction. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Throughout his life, Namon poured his heart into every task he undertook, crafting not only buildings and structures but also beautiful memories that will forever resonate in the lives of those he touched. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gladys Fulton, sister, Evelyn Fulton, and his son, Kristopher Steven Blanton.

Namon is survived by his cherished girlfriend (wife) of 13 years, Linda Mills (Honey Bun),who was his steadfast partner through every challenge and triumph. Their bond was a beautiful testament to true companionship, built on love, respect, and shared dreams. Together, they shared countless memories, laughter-filled moments, and adventures that will forever be held in Linda's heart. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Ann Mills (Sam I Am),  Will Carey, all of 71, and his two sons, Ramone Flanagan (Britney) of South Carolina, and Jacob Gato of Florida.

He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Morish, and sisters, Bequeta Christain of Kentucky, Marilyn Fulton, Tess Ford and Yogi Woodard, all of Illinois with whom he shared a profound connection forged by childhood memories and unwavering support through life's ups and downs. Together, they navigated the many challenges life presented, always finding solace and strength in one another. 

Namon had 9 grandchildren and his favorite Aunt Mary and Uncle Ron Wilcox of Cumberland Gap, Tennesee. His best friends for 30 plus years, James Israel and Stacy Moll of Arizona, all of his work family, Teri Nichols, Dean Davidson, Stacie Bloom and Stacey Freihofer. Special kids that he loved dearly, Logan and Evelyn Wilcox. Along with his special neighbor Adam, A.K.A. "Adam-Ant"

Namon was loved by all who knew him. He would go out of his way to help anyone. 

As we bid farewell to Namon, we remember him not only for his remarkable skills in the construction field but also for his gentle spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. He was a loving husband, a devoted brother, and a true friend with a heart full of kindness. Namon will be deeply missed, yet his legacy will continue to live on within the hearts of family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, wrapped in the love of those he held dear.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday,  June 7th from 2 to 4pm at Shannon Funeral Home.
