Shirley Ann Pulaski, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 11, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, Shirley dedicated over 40 years of her life to nurturing the minds of young children as a teacher's aide at Prine Elementary, where her warmth and compassion made a lasting impact on both students and colleagues alike. Shirley was a devoted teacher and friend.
Deeply committed to her family, Shirley's love and devotion were most evident in her family life. She married Richard Pulaski on September 1, 1962, and together they built a loving home. For 63 years, together they filled it with laughter and support. Shirley was not only a beloved wife and mother but also a guiding light in the lives of her grandchildren. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Cathy Stern (Walter), and son Jeff Pulaski. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Walter Stern IV and his wife Nicole, Trey Stern, and Dakota Pulaski, as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Ivy Grace Stern. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and the love she instilled in their lives.
Shirley is also survived by her beloved brother, Robert (Bob) Mills, who shared countless memories and moments of joy by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Robert and Marion Mills, who surely welcomed their beloved daughter with open arms.
As we remember Shirley, we celebrate the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she touched. Her kindness, loving spirit and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Shirley's memory will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends, a beautiful reminder of a life well-lived.
