Zula Jean Jolley, “Jean”, a longtime resident of Manatee County, passed away April 1, 2016.

Born on July 16, 1934 to the late Dozier and Olive (Murphy) Starling in Everglades City, FL. Jean was a graduate of LaBelle High School. She will be remembered as having a spitfire spirit and her love to laugh and dance.

Jean is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Dian Lawson, Mona Carlene (Wilbert James) Rutherford; brother, Roger Starling; five grandchildren, Lori (Danny), Danny Jr., Lacey (Joe), Nathan (Ashley), Stacey; 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved a great deal.

The family will receive friends from 11AM-2PM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton with a Celebration of Jean’s life to be held at 11:30 A.M.
